YOGA WORKSHOPS

I run yoga workshops for local associations, charities and communities within the Helensburgh and Dumbarton area. These vary from one-off events to regular workshops, enabling individuals to explore yoga in its many forms. Please contact me if you are interested in learning more.

Ian McLeod Theatre School

"Our students absolutely love when Fiona comes to take a class. Each class is energising yet totally calming, and there is always something new to learn. Fiona is an attentive and intuitive teacher who adapts every pose to work for everyone in the room. A fantastic, knowledgeable teacher."

Community Learning Disability Chair Yoga

"I recently had the opportunity to support some of my service users to a chair yoga practice with Fiona. She came along to our Tuesday afternoon group. This is just a few things they had to say afterwards: “I liked the different moves, made me feel good and relaxed”- Jenny; “Calm, relaxing but fun, loved the music (Bay City Rollers)” - Billy"

Scott, Community Yoga

"When I first saw yoga and what it was about, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to participate as it looked difficult with all the body twists and poses but then I started to participate, it felt good Fiona made it so easy not just for me but for the group collectively. Thank you Fiona for all that you do for me and the group it has been amazing"

We were amazed at how well Kyle actively participated in his Yoga with Fiona. It is very emotional to see first hand how capable Kyle is with the correct coaching and guidance, so lovely to see the bond/trust Kyle had with Fiona. Kyle took direction extremely well and we really felt that Fiona had created a safe environment for him to give yoga a go - most importantly how happy he was throughout his sessions. Kyle always has a smile on his face when we mention Yoga with Fiona!

My son has autism and learning difficulties and never sits still, so to see what Fiona has accomplished with her yoga sessions brings a tear to my eye. Ry is engaged, following instructions and seems less stressed in their sessions. Fiona has patience and is a calming influence, which makes her an amazing teacher. Ry gets so much from Fiona's teaching, and he is so lucky to have her.

CHAIR YOGA

Chair yoga is a great way to practice yoga for those unable to practice on the mat. Yoga can benefit anyone, regardless of age, inflexibility or disability. Develop awareness of breath, increase your body and mind awareness. Chair yoga promotes relaxation and movement of the body in a safe and accessible way.
