REGULAR YOGA CLASSES

I run weekly yoga classes in Helensburgh, which are suitable for those that live in Helensburgh, Dumbarton, Balloch and the surrounding area. These are small classes, designed to support any level of yoga experience. 

My regular classes focus on seasonal flows. Seasonal hatha flow yoga is designed to align the changing energies of nature and the seasons in a practice that improves physical strength and flexibility, giving balance, harmony and an enhanced sense of wellbeing. Practices include breath work, movement, guided meditation and relaxation. Also throughout a block of classes I offer a class that covers both yin and restorative practices, which are very popular.

In the yin and restorative yoga practices, students use props to support the body to rest, slow down, and bring calmness to the body, mind and breath bringing balance to the parasympathetic nervous system. We explore holding the poses for typically between 3 to 5 minutes, to give us the chance to really meet the pose and work to unearthing some of the deeper aspects of the practice.

Thursday 8:00-9:00 pm, The Guide Hall, 15 John Street, Helensburgh, G84 8BA.

The classes are small with a maximum of 15 students, providing a safe space where everyone is welcome. They are suitable for all levels, with adjustments and modifications offered. The cost is £9 per class, or fixed five-week blocks of classes can be booked for £38.
