
Yoga is beneficial for everyone, and having benefited from yoga myself, I am passionate about being able to offer individuals and groups the opportunity to experience the benefits of yoga.
Yoga helps us to develop flexibility and strength, it involves being aware of our breath as we explore movement in different ways and paying full attention to something in the present moment. Both yoga and mindfulness practises combine breath, body and mind. When we use these ancient practices we can bring a long list of benefits to both our physical and mental health helping to regulate our nervous system which can help restore our inner calm and peace.
I have over 25 years' experience in health and social care, and a passion for sharing yoga with young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, complex health needs and Autism. I also share yoga in my local community, including practices with dance schools, guide groups, corporate settings as well as my own regular classes in Helensburgh.
